In life much like in gambling, without taking a risk there is no reward. When you think about taking a risk with regards to gambling, the first thing that comes to mind is jeopardizing certain amount money by wagering with it. A poker player called Carl Valentine has come up with a different kind of gambling “risk“. Instead of wagering with money, Valentine is willing to wager a limb in the event he losses his bet. What is the bet you ask? Well, Valentine scheduled to play a game of poker against one of his wealthy acquaintances.
What happens if he losses? In the event of a loss, Valentine is willing to cut off his finger. You heard correctly; the man is willing to cover his gambling loss by giving up his finger. So what is in it for him? If he wins, Valentine will earn $1 million. Even though the reward id phenomenal, I’m not sure that most people would not have agreed to gamble on their finger. In some ways, Valentine is the ultimate high roller. The guy is gambling with something that is more precious than money.
Valentine has given new meaning to the term high stakes gambling. So how exactly does the online gambling industry fits into all of this? Well, the online gambling site Poker Room has agreed to host the gambling match between the two which is scheduled to take place sometime next year. This is the first time in the history of the online gambling industry that something like this has happened, so it’s understandable why there is so much buzz surrounding it. | |
