The French spend three times more time in online casinos than the Brits, according to Europe-wide figures from analysts Nielsen/NetRatings. This comes as a surprise to many given the British affinity and popularity in the UK of online casinos and gambling sites, particularly bingo and poker.
February's figures showed more than 22 per cent of those online spent over an hour betting. This was about three times the average UK online gambler spent having a flutter. The French also have nearly twice as many sessions as their UK counterparts.
However, more than 14 per cent of online Brits gamble on the Internet. This is a rise of 45 per cent from last year. | |
