Most gambling fans only dream about the opportunity to play alongside some of the best poker players in the world to compete for the $10 million first prize at the World Series of Poker. However, this year gambling firm Bodog will help make the dreams of 40 lucky gambling fans come true. The online gambling giant has guaranteed no less than 40 seats for this year’s competition, breaking the record for the highest number of participants it has ever funded.
The prize package from the gambling firm includes $2500 in travel expenses and a $10,000 ticket to the main tournament. Players will also receive exclusive access to the VIP lounge at the event and an extra $1000 of the gambling firm’s merchandise. Calvin Ayre, the gambling firm’s colorful founder and chief executive, has stated that Bodog players should be given every opportunity to compete against the poker greats. The firm intends to host qualifying games every 20 minutes to find its 40 luckiest gambling fans.
As a result, a record number of gambling fans are testing their luck on the Bodog site. The firm is currently riding high on a wave of publicity following a prominent advertising campaign using a well known U.S. domestic airline, as well as the launch of a new gambling television show.
