- Thursday, 11 May 2006
Gambling fans in the U.S., and more recently in the UK, are no strangers to Bluff Magazine. One of the world’s most prominent gambling publications, Bluff Magazine has gone from strength to strength since launching in the UK last year. Now an announcement from Bluff has outlined its intentions to become the premier gambling magazine of Australasia, when it launches Down Under next month.
The success of Bluff Magazine is widely attributed to the poker boom that has swept the world from the U.S. and shows no sign of abating. Bluff Australasia Publisher Alan Hyman has said that the gambling publication will follow Bluff’s tradition of taking a unique look at poker. He also stated that the poker gambling phenomenon is just starting to take off in Australia, putting the magazine in a unique position to help gambling fans find poker sites and offer useful advice on which games are best suited for them. The gambling publication will also play an important role in marketing the game of poker to Australasian gambling fans in the hope that the poker craze proves just as appealing to Australians and New Zealanders as it has in the U.S.
Plans for the first edition are already underway. Some of the features the gambling magazine will offer first off include a biography of reigning world poker champ Joe Hachem, and an interview with online gambling champion Lee Nelson. The local scene will also be covered in depth.
