Gambling online used to be about fun and games; now it could be about breaking the law. There are a number of gamblers who feel it unjustifiable that the U.S. government could restrict to such a degree their ability to spend their hard-earned cash the way they feel like they should. Gambling is ingrained into the American psyche, and for a culture which salutes risk-taking to suddenly have a law on the books affecting that risk taking was quite a shock to the system.
The online gambling world was quite shocked when Washington wagged its finger at the online casino world and said, to no small effect, “no more for you”. Online gambling isn’t exactly an illegal enterprise, but it has become illegal for Americans to fund their online gambling accounts in a certain way. That way, of course, was the only way that they would otherwise have been able to do it.
Don’t you worry about the online casino world, though. Gambling companies are quite resilient in their resolve to succeed, and embody the entrepreneurial spirit that can bring about success where apathy would bring about failure. Don’t worry about online casinos more than you play online gambling games at them, otherwise they’ll really be in trouble! | |
