 The Basic Baccarat Gamblling Rules

- Wednesday, 4 Oct 2006

The online casino game of baccarat (which is, by the way, James Bond's favorite casino game), is not an easy game to win at. It is known, that there is nothing one can do to increase the edge against the casino. However, there must be something about this gambling game, and if there is, you'd better now its basic rules. So here are some.

The baccarat game is somehow like the game of blackjack. The aim of the gambling game is to draw cards from the deck, while the best score possible is 9 (unlike 21 in blackjack). The worst baccarat score is zero, which is, actually, the name of the game in Italian. The gambling is between the player and the banker; however the rules may vary from one casino to another. The banker and the player are each dealt two cards. If one or both of the hands have total of 9 or 8, it is a "Natural', and the game is finished. The player has to stand on 7 and 6, and if he has 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5, he has to draw another card.

The dealer is always instructing the players, so the rules do not have to be remembered by heart. The odds are usually in the banker's favor, as the banker wins around 46% of the games, while the player wins only around 44.5% of the games and the rest is a Tie.
