- Wednesday, 26 Oct 2005
Motley Crue lead singer Vince Neil’s “Off The Strip” poker gambling event will be partially sponsored by the Small Town Poker Tour. All proceeds generated from the gambling event will benefit the T. J. Martell Foundation, which is an organization formed by members of the music industry. The organization is devoted to incorporating innovative life saving research into the treatment of AIDS, cancer and leukemia. The charity gambling event is scheduled to take place on November 11th, at Peter Morton's Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas.
Vince Neil will kick off the event by hosting the inaugural Hold 'Em Poker Gambling Tournament, where seats are limited to the first 150 entrants. Additionally, there is a $40 entry fee and the buy-in is $500. Players will compete for a prize pool comprised of $50,000. “We have kicked this idea around for a while and it just makes sense, since I live in Las Vegas and The Joint is one of my favorite venues. Texas Hold 'Em is a kick ass gambling game and when you add the girls to the mix it only gets better. I hope my fans will come out and make this a very special night because it is a very special cause to me”, says Neil. The gambling tournament will be followed by a live auction, hosted by a surprise guest.
The Small Town Poker Tour co-sponsoring the event is a national series of charity poker gambling tournaments that will be filmed and shown on TV. The goals of the gambling Tour are to find America's number one amateur poker player and raise money for worthy causes. Mark Fracalossi executive producer of the STPT comments, “The STPT is all about giving back and this is a chance for everyone who has expressed interest in the tour to come out and play in this special event”. | |
