Gaming Industry Stocks (GIS) is an investor and industry news portal for the gaming sector, and announced their new plans to present a feature entitled "Casino Strategies for Growth", a review on revenue building strategies within the casino and entertainment industry. Companies in this arena are looking both domestically and internationally for continued growth through various channels, such as new and existing property development, consolidation strategies as well as technology and programs to improve the gaming experience. Casino and entertainment companies such as Boyd Gaming, Harrah's Entertainment, and gaming technology firms MGN Technologies and Shuffle Master constantly look to a combination of revenue generating strategies to reach their growth expectations. Worldwide casino gaming revenues are expected to reach over $100 billion in 2009, according to a report by PricewaterhouseCoopers.
A key driver of growth for many casinos entails the continued development of new and existing properties in both domestic and foreign markets. Boyd Gaming's Rob Stillwell, Vice President Corporate Communications explained it this way: "At any given time we are expanding our existing product portfolio, and building completely brand new products." Harrah's Entertainment Inc. also looks to the identification and entrance into new markets as a key component of their growth strategy. Increasing revenue from existing customers and growing this base to new levels is a priority among many casinos. | |
