MGM Grand Detroit Casino has recently unveiled its plans for their new gambling facility in Michigan. The new facility will be MGM's permanent gaming facility, as said by company's officials. MGM will invest up to $765 million in the planned gambling complex. The casino will be a 17-story facility and is designated to form 1,000 new job opportunities. The future permanent gambling facility will spread over 100,000 square feet. It will feature many diverse attractions, such as a hotel, restaurants, retail stores, and a spa. The casino gaming complex will combine modern elements like a golden glass hotel tower with an art deco façade on its main building.
MGM Grand spokesperson Bob Berg was reported as saying that MGM's recent decision to increase its investment in the gambling casino complex by $190 million reflects the company's confidence that the region has enough potential to support it. Jamaine Dickens, a representative for Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick, said that MGM's tremendous investment is exactly what the city needs in order to become a prominent travel destination, especially for the gambling community. | |
