2005 saw the 36th World Series of Poker draw in Poker players from all over the world to the Rio All Suite Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. There were 3 players representing Crazy Poker and all three of them finished "in the money". The WSOP 2005 saw more entries than any other year with 5619 participants, all competing for their share of a prize pool containing $52,818,610. Crazy Poker, which is part of the Prima Poker Network, was represented by three players who were all itching to win that coveted WSOP bracelet. Russell Salzer, Garry Bush and Tyrone Zinman all finished in prize winning positions and together amounted total winnings of $321,422.
The WSOP 2005 was an unpredictable affair with a few big contenders and crowd favorites dropping out early in the final stages, with significant eliminations including Doyle Brunson, TJ Cloutier, Phil Hellmuth, Men Nguyen, Ram Vaswani, Daniel Negreanu, Dave Ulliot, Feddie Deeb, Johnny Chan, and last years runner-up David Williams. Eventually the WSOP bracelet along with an astounding first prize of $7,500,000 went to Australian Joseph Hachem. Of the Poker operators that are part of Prima Poker, Crazy Pokers three players finished highest, collecting the most money. "Crazy Poker is a great learning tool for players wanting to learn the game," says Crazy Poker Manager Trevor Penn. "It not only allows you to hone your skills and practice against a wide variety of other players, Crazy Poker also has plenty of tournaments that allow aspiring players to win seats at big money competitions." The next major tournament that has players eager with anticipation is the Monte Carlo Millions in Monaco, with a $3 million guaranteed prize pool. | |
