In the world of gambling there is nothing more annoying that playing alongside a gambler who is full of himself. There are unwritten rules in gambling that state that courtesy is key in any tournament. However, there are some players who are overly cocky and pretty much irks you the entire time you are gambling. Anyone who has watched poker on television is aware that some players lack the proper poker etiquette. Indeed, there are players known for flopping on the floor, cursing, and other bad behavior.
In addition you have the boastful player who repeatedly claims his skill exceeds that of his opponents. Jack R., who prefers his last name remain anonymous, made such a claim recently. This time, however, he is being put to the gambling test."When I play poker, I like to let my opponents know that I am a superior player. It only seems fair," Jack laughs. "Since I've begun playing using my gut feelings, I haven't lost a pot." Gambling several times a week has allowed Jack to practice his poker skills. He frequently sees familiar faces around the poker table, and enjoys goading others with bragging. While boasting to a fellow poker player last week, Jack's ability was finally challenged.
He claimed to be the best poker player around to player Phan Jung, who then decided to put him to the test and put an end to his arrogance. Having played against Jack on many occasions, Phan grew tired of the boasting. To prove his point, he has arranged to run gambling tournament, hosted by a popular online poker room, and place a bounty on Jack's head. "Whoever knocks Jack out of the tournament will receive $1000," says Phan. "I plan to shut Jack up once and for all, and prove a point to all the arrogant gambling fans out there". In addition to the $1000 bounty, top winners will share in the prize pool, which is predicted to be quite large.
