A poker online gambling site offered free fuel as a promotion gig. The online gambling site reports that the promotion was a huge success.
New Yorkers enjoyed both a morning full of backed-up traffic and $40 worth of gasoline as an online gambling site engaged drivers in a free fuel promotion. The online casino was promoting new gambling facilities and thus was handing out free gasoline in the downtown New York area. Casino Share, an online gambling company that offers players shares, and their newly launched site, Poker Share, gave away over 8 thousand gallons of gasoline this weekend.
From 6 a.m. the Westside Highway Mobil station at the corner of Canal St. & West Side HWY offered each motorist up to $40 in free unleaded gasoline compliments of the online poker and gambling group. Poker Share’s promotion was to help motorists in New York enjoy the long weekend, and to hear about the new facilities available at the online gambling site. Morning show hosts and celebrities spoke to the motorists while waiting in queue – not only did they receive free gasoline from the online gambling site, but also 2 minutes of fame!
The free gasoline special caused such traffic jams and backlog in the morning rush hour, the traffic police eventually had to end the special before all the free gas intended to be handed out by the online gambling site was finished. Lucan Toh, CEO of the online gambling group said that it was a shame that the promotion ended before its completion, because the price of gasoline is so high and not everyone got to enjoy it. The promotion will be happening in other cities around the country in the coming weeks too.
