- Monday, 12 Dec 2005
Today, the Chicago Bears will be squaring off against the Pittsburgh Steelers at Heinz Field. The Bears are riding a riding an eight-game winning streak which they are hoping to stretch to nine for the first time in 20 years. Sports gambling bookmakers are stunned by the recent success the Bears are having. At the start of the season, no sports gambling handicapper predicted that the Bears would reach 9 wins, especially not in a row. The Bears accomplishment becomes even more impressive considering that the team had lost its starting quarterback before the season started and was forced to start rookie Kyle Horton at the position.
At this time, sports gambling sites are listing the Steelers as the favorites to win the game with a 6.5 spread. Alejandro Gomez, Hollywood Sportsbook Media Relations executive, commented on the game saying, “This will be a very interesting game. The Bears biggest concern is that they are playing the Steelers in Pittsburgh, but Chicago (9-3) doesn't need to panic". The Steelers have lost three games in a row, so sports gambling odds makers expect them to be fired come game time.
Sports gambling bookmakers have decided to go with the Steelers over the Bears despite the fact that the Bears have a better record. Gomez explains, "The Bears might find a way to win against a team that reached the AFC title game last season with some character, but haven't showed it yet this season. The Steelers (7-5) need to step up and handle adversity”. | |
