Leeds-based online gambling site Total Bet and Manchester City Football Club have announced a major new partnership agreement between the two companies, which will give fans of the Club unique access to their own online betting site.
In a six figure deal, the Club and the owner of Total Bet have agreed that the leading online gambling site will become the official online betting and gaming partner of Manchester City, with prominent branding in the City of Manchester Stadium and on its website.
"Manchester City wanted to partner with a leading online betting and gaming brand that would fit with the values and aspirations of the club, as well as providing a quality service to our fans," says Alistair Mackintosh, Chief Executive of Manchester City. "Total Bet showed a clear commitment to working closely in partnership with us to ensure that both sides can obtain maximum benefits from the deal."
As part of the deal, Total Bet will set up a dedicated online betting site for Manchester City fans that will feature special online gambling opportunities specifically relating to the Club, such as guaranteed best prices for City fans on first goal scorers in each game. In addition, all of the usual sporting and non-sporting bets will be available to City supporters on the City-branded site.
"Its great to have secured this deal with Manchester City, which marks our first association with a Premier League Club," says Peter Dubens, chairman of Total Bet's parent corporation. "Sporting success is all about partnership and it is in the interests of every major football club to have an online betting partner. Not only does this introduce a new revenue stream, it is also a value added service which many fans will appreciate."
